Dear Students, Parents, and Friends,

For a few brief glimpses into the classrooms and at student life here at Northview from this past week, including…

Š          which Northview senior is now published in an academic journal.  Seriously.

Š          See how art and English students spent time this week studying the Ancient Greeks, but in different ways,

Š          how the Volleyball Team is dealing with and overcoming adversity,

Š          what inventor Mark Feldstein had to share with our Leadership Academy students,

Š          …and more, click on the link to see our Wildcat Weekly blog

Here are a few important messages for parents and students:

Š          Attention Juniors and Junior Parents: this fall, we will be launching the College Prep Challenge to help you get ready for the ACT, which all Juniors will take on March 20th.  This program will include free preparatory resources, and professional tutoring.  For complete details, see the Cat Tracks newsletter.

Š          Parents, please be aware that in an effort to increase our efficiency your fee invoices will be emailed to you on October 2nd. You will be able to pay your students’ fees online or by check as you have in the past.

Š          Parents; we NEED you!  Our teachers are working together to once again offer our Seniors a seminar in financial literacy before they graduate from high school and head off to the real world.  Senior students will get an advanced look at what it is like to manage household finances on Friday, November 10th through our Finances 101 program.  In order to pull of this gigantic seminar, we need more than forty-five (yes, 45…this is a big undertaking) volunteers to help oversee stations (training is provided) from 7:15 -1:45.  In addition, we are asking for food donations.  Please click here to sign up, and spread the word.  You can also contact Kylie Goebel at or call ext. 5226.  Consider this a small investment of your time that will help your child’s (and your) pocketbook for the long run!

The Wildcat Football Team, Band, Cheer Team, and student section are aiming to be 6-0 on the season after tonight’s game against Napoleon.  Midas/Advanced Auto is sponsoring a tailgate tonight from 5-7 p.m.  They will have a bounce house, other inflatables, and free food.  Come join us for some fun before kickoff.

Go Cats!
